We obtained data from 7 unique nationally representative data sources. See the table below for a snapshot of data sources and their availability by years.

Step 1: Select a Format

Select "wide format" for data in a table format.

Select "long format" for data in a programming format.

Step 2: Select a Geography

Select "United States" for U.S.-wide or multi-state mapping and analysis of SRD score by counties.

Select an individual state, or "District of Columbia" for mapping and analysis of SRD score by counties in that state/district.

Step 3: Select a Year

Select from 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020

Step 4: Get Data

You will download a zipped folder with: Data, data dictionary, list of data sources, a figure for data model, and a README file with instructions.

Geospatial Data Download

Download Data in Geospatial Format

Step 1: Select a Format

Select "geodatabase" for GIS-compatible spatial data (.gdb), suitable for use in ArcGIS or QGIS.

Step 2: Select a Geography

All counties in the U.S. matched to the 2020 TIGER/Lines county boundary.

Step 3: Select a Year

Select from 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020

Step 4: Get Data

You will download a zipped folder with: Data, data dictionary, list of data sources, data model figure, and a README file with instructions.
